ABOUT THE SEMINAR

The 20th MACFEA National Seminar is MACFEA’s annual event organized by the Institute for Social Transformation and Regional Development (TRANSFORM), Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) in collaboration with the Malaysian Consumer and Family Economics Association (MACFEA) and the Malaysian Institute of Integrity (INTEGRITI). The seminar aims to offer a platform for individuals and organizations to share knowledge, experience and useful insights on sustaining a harmonious lifestyle despite the increase in the cost of living.

OBJECTIVES

  • To share research findings and current issues related to the field of lifestyle management, financial management, and consumer rights;
  • To create a network of expertise among academics and professionals in the field of economics and consumerism;
  • To provide the opportunity to participants, especially those from educational institutions, government departments, NGOs, and individuals to present their research findings from various new dimensions that can be utilized for the common good.

CALL FOR PAPERS

We invite you to attend the 20th MACFEA National Seminar 2016 and submit your full paper in English or Malay (maximum 12 pages including notes and references)

  • All submissions must be original and should not have been previously accepted or is under-review in other conferences and/ or publications.
  • All papers will be assigned to reviewers for a peer review and authors will be notified via email.
  • All accepted papers will be published in hard copy proceeding with ISBN.
  • Participants who are interested in journal publishing papers, indexed by Scopus will be charged extra fees.

BEST PAPER AWARD

Winners by category will receive a cash prize of RM1,000. The winner of the best papers will also be selected to be included in the Journal of Techno-Social (JTS) under the Pusat Pengajian Umum dan Kokurikulum (PPUK), UTHM.

The award is divided into three categories, namely:-

  • Individual Category;
  • Groups organizations Category; and
  • Students Category.
